Celebrating Peace Or War

10 years ago when WTC was attacked there were people on streets with joy in many Arab Countries. I remember watching those videos  from Pakistan, Israel, Palestine etc etc and there were videos of people in US crying on streets. This month after death of Osama Bin Laden people were again on streets from all these countries , the difference emotions had  interchanged.
At first thought, it looks that everything has changed for good in these 10 years. But hey think again, nothing has changed.  We (taking the world as one) are celebrating death of people.
One can never have peace as a result of War. Its not at all possible. Am sure, god forbid if next attack happens in US , one more country Afghanistan is already added in the list of countries celebrating it. And by this I don’t mean just the Talibans. I mean the common people too. Why. Because in the attack that US did on Afghanistan many civilians were killed. They had no clue about Laden or anyone else. They were just innocent people like us and they lost their home and family in those bomb attacks. Why wont they be happy to see the same happening to Americans ? Just to add why wont they be happy to be a part of doing something like that on US??
No one is a born terrorist. The people I talked about in last few lines are classified as terrorists by Western countries like US,UK etc and Jihadis By Arab countries. Well as followers of Western countries India is with US and UK always. Will you call Noble Peace Prize winner and international symbol of freedom Nelson Mandela a terrorist ?? He was on U.S. terrorist WatchLists and needed special permission to enter US till 2008. Can you believe that??Seems like terrorist has become a fancy word for US now  jisko mann kiya terrorist bol diya aur maar daala . :D

Why someone becomes a  so called terrorist ? Is it because of money , No I don’t think so. Its because of a reason, hatred for other countries/people because of what happened to his closed ones or his country. In hindsight with all respect think from this point of view, someone becomes a soldier with a hope that he never has to go on border to fight and the world stays a peaceful place  but someone becomes a terrorist with an intention to fight. A terrorist is just not another criminal. For them countries like US and even India are terrorists because these countries inflected the same agony on their people in past.
We read about 1971 war and thought why didn’t we Indians ended everything then and there. Its because of our reluctance that time the fight is still on and people are dying  by attacks on Train or Hotel Taj etc. Well in the same way, 50 years later people will read about the Kandahar Hijack, Kargil War and blame us for not doing anything to sort things out. What started in 1947 can not be ended by a winner takes all ‘India Pakistan War’. Its because some people eventually will be left alive in both countries and they will have memories of losing family and friends in that war and would like to take revenge.  To put it in one line the world is in a vicious circle of War and every time we think we are celebrating peace , we have just started another War.
P.S. If anyone from Pentagon reading this, please do not think I support terrorism. If anyone from Al Qaida reading this please do not think am ready to fight for you.  I am just a normal human being scared of losing mine and closed one’s life in this War.

  1. Dude you are missing the point of terrorism or war by a mile.
Both terrorism and war is to promote one's self needs. Not of revenge but something of more value. Either be oil, land, colonies, religion etc etc etc. Humans are very cheap, they dont have much of a value in a war. They are dispensable commodities.
And wars can never be finished, because of a simple fact that there is no end to greed of human being. Right from the Roman empire to British colonialism to cold war to US monopoly, it was always to gain an upper hand over the opponent and take control of what the other person has.
And everyone of us do it. We fight wars in offices for promotion, for better hikes, we play sport (which is another kind of war although not deadly) to beat the opposition.

  2. seems like v r on WAR on dis topic :P

What i tried to stress upon was how a common man's life changes because of this War and how in the end he gets involved in all this as in from a neutral mindset to getting against some country/people which in d end as u mentioned is treated as just a cheap HUMAN by the biggies like Laden or Obama to be put in the battlefield to die which he does thinking of revenge.

  3. To add to my previous post, all the wars fought in the last 10 years, was not for any revenge.
If you recollect, some years back Saddam and US were best friends.
Same was for Taliban/Osama and US. So there was no revenge there. It was just to gain an upper hand in the name of religion and oil (the most precious of them all).
Humans are renewable resource, if one is killed, you can create another to die in 18 years (10 years if u r a terrorist), so it is the least valuable thing out there.
Just compare it with oil, which takes millions of years or religion which takes 100 of years to spread. So in each of the war, the reason was never of a revenge (who cares about 100 odd people dying. even we dont care). It was for taking control of the land, for power, for supremacy for all other bullshit things, which unfortunately these people cannot even have in their short lifespan.

  4. What u r saying is right from macro point of view as in Osama , Saddam etc..dey were cowards using other people for killing n themselves sitting in a shelter at one corner...

Am seeing things from micro view...am talking abt how the terrorists are actually born...whats in the mind of them...most of these people were normal like us living happily in their life...their first dreams were like us to live a peaceful life...

  5. Dude first of all some corrections in your passage:
    - Israel did not celebrated 9/11. They are infact a US ally not US enemy.
    - India is not following western countries. India is among the worst sufferers because of terrorism. And most of the time India has been at the receiving end of it. And one of the main reason for that is US itself, because of their so called aid to our neighbors.

i recently saw a tv series related to World war II. Millions of people died in it. If we consider at micro level, many innocent lives were lost, because of a war that happened 20 years back (this war was mainly retaliation of World war I by Germany). But that thing had to happen, otherwise the world would have been a worse place to live, then we are currently in.

To your other point, I agree no one is born a terrorist, but they are brought up as one. And most of them have no choice, but to become one and that too not because they hate someone, but because someone else hate someone, and they also want him to hate them. It is brainwash and nothing else.
Now you can call it self-defense or war or terrorism. It is one and the same thing.
And everyone has a choice, its up to them what they decide.
an eye for an eye, makes the whole world blind.

Forgiving should be the more important thing, then revenge. And that's what every religion in the world preaches. Its up to the individual's interpretation, what they call it.
some call jihad as killing inner demon, and some call it as killing people of other religion.

  6. - I meant Israeli people..n actually 5 were arrested for celebrating it on d day of attack..

    - I believe that we suffer because of US, u believe in it..but not our politicans..dey dont have the guts to admit it and actually do something against US..so in all v end up showing ourselves as pro US...

Yeah i agree brain wash is something which is being done ..But i dont think its true for everyone..dere r people who enter into it because of the reason i wrote...

N as per ur defence of war making a world better place to live in.. u cant say that as in millions lives were lost to make a world better place to live in ? give me a break..v r still fighting..the war is still on... n hey who took the permission of taking lives of those million innocent people ? were they ready for this sacrfice ?? did the death of WTC attack is sacrficie ? is the death of Osama a sacrifice ? world hasnt become a better place by dere deaths..
There are now attacks going on in Pakistan to revenge death of Osama now..people dying are innocent n had nothing to do with Osama or US..
